Nate Green is the Economic Development Director for the Pickaway Progress Partnership (P3), the economic development agency for Pickaway County. In this role Nate facilitates and manages discussions among local government officials, developers and stakeholders to construct joint development agreements, advance creative solutions to finance public infrastructure, and develop incentives to attract and retain industry. Nate is charged with marketing and selling the benefits of locating and investing in Pickaway County to targeted companies, developers, site selectors and consultants. He also works with existing industry to identify federal, state and local government programs that can assist in growing their business in Pickaway County.
Before coming to Pickaway County, Nate was the Corporate Finance Manager for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority. There he helped finance corporate headquarters, manufacturing facilities and public infrastructure. He began his career in economic development working for the Ohio Department of Development, starting in the Governor’s Regional Office in Toledo. He then was promoted to ODOD’s central office in Columbus to become a business development representative and transportation liaison. In his time with ODOD, he covered the Toledo, Akron and Cleveland areas working with businesses and communities to help them create and retain jobs. In addition, he was the liaison for the department to cargo airports, port authorities, rail roads and other state departments related to transportation. Prior to his life in the public sector, Nate was a financial planner with Minnesota Life.
Nate is on the board of the Ohio Economic Development Association and serves as its VP of Legislative Affairs. He is also on the board of the Pickaway County Chamber of Commerce and serves as its Chair of Pro-Business Advocacy. Nate is involved with the Mid-Ohio Development Exchange, the Circleville Sunrise Rotary and Junior Achievement of Pickaway County.
Nate is a native of Northwest Ohio, growing up in Findlay and graduating high school in Sylvania, a suburb of Toledo. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. Nate currently resides in Bexley with his wife Heather.
