WHY PICKAWAY COUNTY
Targeted Development Areas
Since Norfolk Southern opened the Rickenbacker Intermodal facility in Harrison Township and the “East-West Connector” road and infrastructure improvements were complete, we have seen a major increase in development in the area:
- Rickenbacker Inland Port- serviced by two of the largest rail providers in the United States, Norfolk Southern and CSX. The majority of rail freight traveling to Columbus is international and has reached the Ohio Valley via the East and West Coast ocean ports.
- Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park- A master-planned 1,777-acre logistics park capable of handling 30 million square feet of development.
Located right off of US Rt. 23, these two communities are easily accessible and are located just minutes from Ohio’s interstate system. These rural communities are ready for your business.
Although we are known for The Circleville Pumpkin Show, we have much more to offer than “The Greatest Free Show On Earth”.
- Progress Park- the Former Thomson Consumer Products factory site is being redeveloped into a 227-acre industrial/commercial park that has attracted state, local and private funding. This site has the potential for mixed-use development, industrial, retail, and residential.
- Home to the Southern Gateway Economic Innovation Development Center, Ohio Christian University and Ohio Health Berger Hospital.
